1:17AM

It's 1:17am, we've been sitting on the off ramp for two long hours. And we're still waiting...

Well the story begins 3 hours ago when my boyfriend and I decided we were gonna test out the truck he just bought and take the aluminum cans to Walmart in Lakewood New York. So we went and pick up the cans and headed out i89 towards Jamestown. We jammed to music the whole drive to Lakewood. We headed off the off ramp ramp when we got to the exit. We had to stop at the light to make sure no one was coming. Once Taylor hit the gas his truck stalled. He tried starting it 20 times and even a kind sheriff stopped to help us, but nothing happened. No one answered our phone calls. Until finally his twin sister answered. She's supposed to be on her way but we've been waiting 2 hours now and still haven't seen her....

An update will come in a few minutes...

While preparing for my final I think about how fast this semester has gone by. And now I know why I hate one credit one day a week class. You don't have time to so anything it's terrible. And I know why I am a marketing major instead of a comm major. I hate writing. And I'm not good at it.
These past few weeks have been a nightmare. I don't have anytime for myself. I work everyday and go to school. I'm trying to stay up on all of my work but it's hard. I need to learn how to say no. And also how to make time for myself. I couldn't be we're I am if it weren't for my boyfriend. He listens to my bitching everyday. He tells me I need to believe in myself when I'm negative about things. He is my rock and my love and I thank him for everything.

Wow, has this semester flown by fast. I went into this class thinking that it would be an easy one credit class. Well, was I wrong or what!!! This class has taken a lot of me mentally. Having entered my major classes today I have had to put in a lot of work this semester to get everything done. And boy has it been hard. But I am hoping that my hard work pays off in all of my classes. Working three jobs has also taken a lot out of my. And my third job is starting back up in full force being a manager at a well known racetrack. But, I wouldn't change anything. I love my job and my school.

There are few words that are pronounced the same but have totally different meaning. These are just a few sentences that represents how each should be used correctly.

1.     1.  Your mom said that you’re going to the store later to get groceries.
2.     It’s my dog’s birthday tomorrow, where is its leash so I can take him for a watch.
3.     Their family is coming to town tomorrow, so they’re going to dinner there.
4.     That affect was very effective in the new Captain America movie.
5.     He’s going to lose his pants because they are so loose.
6.     I lay my glasses on the nightstand while I lie down for a nap.
7.     In the past, we passed notes in class instead of texting each other.
8.     He was too late for class so he had to accept only having two partners instead of three.
9.     Through the game he threw the ball the furthest.
10. Now and then, she uses more perfume than needed.

Not knowing anything about an hip hop singer is terrible when you have to write a paper about him. I have no interest in seeing him and do not even know where to begin. I would much rather write about how excited I am for the Thomas Rhett concert at Edinboro that same weekend! Now that I am excited about. Not only is it going to be a great concert, I get to take my boyfriend to his first concert! and i don't even have to complain about the ticket prices because they were awesome! :) I am super excited!!

After my life or death (or is it life and death? I always wonder) experience tonight the first thing I thought of was, "hmmm, if i actually died what would they say in the paper?"

So here is what i think my leading summary would be:
"21-year old women killed in motor vehicle accident Tuesday Evening. Slick road and an encounter with a family of deer caused Kelly Patterson to loose control of her car on this snowy night."

Happy St. Patrick's Day! and Sad first day back from spring break

Over break I've had a little bit of extra time to spend on social media. I am appalled by how people don't know how to even use a proper comma in a sentence. And the people don't check their spelling! If you cant properly spell a word, then its simple! JUST DONT USE IT! I had to hold myself back and not seem like a complete grammar nazi. But, sometimes i could not hold myself back.

Even my boyfriend likes to misspell words! I mean he has a learning disability. But still, he doesn't even misspell words as much as people do on Facebook! It just drives me absolutely bonkers. People are just careless and don't care how dumb they look when they are posting errors on Facebook and it is a real shame. They make themselves look uneducated and down right stupid. Even the simplest words like, their, there, and they're are used completely wrong! UGGGGHHHHHH!

Well my rant is down now. Until next time readers...

Grammar Police

People either don't proof read their work or they just don't care. Many signs around campus have some form of grammatical error on them. Anywhere from misspellings to not putting commas where they are needed. Here are a few examples:

1. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU ARE YELLING AT ME THROUGH THIS POSTER. Okay, no maybe there isn't spelling errors in this poster but REALLY was it necessary to type in all capital letters

2. Roomates? Don't you mean Roommates? If this person typed this flyer in a Word document it should have underlined "roomate" saying it is wrong like it is doing right now while i am typing my blog.

3. I did not get to snap a picture of this one but I saw another poster looking for a "roomate"that looked like a second grader wrote it because of all of the misspellings on it.

I only found 3 when I searched the bulletin boards in the Reed Building but I am sure I missed a few. Well it seems to be the end of my shift. Time to put the badge up for now. This girl is all grammared out. Until next time..
